The upcoming iQOO 15 is creating a buzz in the smartphone industry after a Geekbench listing revealed record-breaking performance scores. The flagship device, expected to launch in October, appears to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with 16GB of RAM and running on Android 16.

According to the benchmark results, the handset scored an impressive 3,824 points in single-core and 12,402 points in multi-core tests—among the highest yet recorded for this new processor. Analysts believe this performance puts the iQOO 15 in direct competition with other premium Android smartphones set to arrive later this year.

Leaked details suggest that the phone will feature a QHD+ Samsung display with high refresh rates and a triple 50MP rear camera system, including a periscope lens with 3x optical zoom. The device is also tipped to pack a 7,000mAh battery, signaling strong endurance alongside its top-tier performance.

What has drawn even more attention is the report that iQOO plans to debut its own in-house Q3 chip in the new series. This custom silicon is said to enhance gaming experiences, with early claims indicating support for advanced features such as real-time ray tracing in demanding titles like Genshin Impact. If accurate, this could mark a major leap in mobile gaming technology, offering visuals previously seen only on consoles or PCs.

In addition to its performance and gaming focus, design leaks show the iQOO 15 may sport a color-shifting back panel, giving it a distinctive premium look. The model number V2505A has reportedly been spotted in certification databases, hinting at an imminent launch in China, followed by international availability.

The iQOO 15 is expected to arrive in multiple variants, possibly including a Pro version with further enhancements. While official pricing has not been disclosed, the brand is positioning the device to challenge rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

With its combination of powerful hardware, a large battery, and gaming-focused innovation, the iQOO 15 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Android flagships of the year.
