This order is only for travel within the state. A letter has also been issued to all departments regarding this. Department heads, special secretaries and bank officials above this rank will be eligible for air travel. For this, permission will have to be taken from the concerned officials first. This will lead to time savings, less use of vehicles and increased air travel.

Amritsar. Police presented Narain Singh Chaura, who attacked former Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, in the court on Sunday after his 3-day remand ended. After hearing arguments from both sides, Narain Singh Chaura’s 3-day remand has been extended. Police had obtained 3-day remand of Narain Singh Chaura, who was caught after the attack on 4 December.

According to the information, the police on Sunday sought a 10-day remand from the court as Chaura has admitted that some weapons are kept in Lakhimpur Kheri, which need to be recovered. On Saturday, the police interrogated Chaura’s two sons Jagjit Singh Bajwa and Baljinder Singh Bajwa for 8 hours. Information about the family and property was taken from the sons. ACP Jaspal Singh said, the interrogation of the accused is going on.

Chandigarh: New collector rates of land have come into effect from today in Haryana. Although this increase has come into effect from December 1 (Sunday), but due to holiday, there was no work in the offices. In such a situation, new collector rates will be applicable on buying and selling of land from Monday. It has been told that there has been a 30 percent increase in the collector rate in Gurugram. Similarly, an increase of up to 20 percent has been reported in Faridabad as well. Actually, new collector rates were to be implemented in the state from April 1, but due to elections the process could not move forward. Now the new collector rates have been fixed for four months till March 31, 2025.
