Overturned Propane Truck on Interstate 77

YADKIN COUNTY - The West Yadkin Fire Department was dispatched for a reported MVC involving an overturned tractor-trailer carry haz-mats on Interstate 77 at Highway 421.

Engine 1801 arrived on scene to find a propane truck overturned. The driver was still inside the vehicle and was uninjured.

He was removed through the rear window of the truck.

The truck was carrying full propane tanks. Fortunately no leaks were found.

Two heavy wreckers were called to lift the vehicle. Units operated on scene for nearly four hours.

Engine 1801, Engine 1802, Tanker 1803, Truck 1818
