TRYONOTA - The Tryonota Fire Department along with Gaston County EMS responded to an overturned tractor trailer Wednesday morning around 10:00 hours carrying approximately 400 gallons of 1 gallon jugs of milk along with other dairy products, and 40 metal racks.
The accident happend on Tryon Courthouse Road between Bessemer City and Cherryville.
The tractor trailer going through a series of sharp curves lost control and overturned then slid across the opposite lane of traffic and into a ditch.
The driver sustained non-life threating injuries and was able to pull himself from the cab before emergency personel arrived on scene.
Crews remained on scene for 7 hours to clean up.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the incident.
