BLADEN COUNTY - Elizabethtown (Bladen County Station 55), Dublin (Station 53) and White Lake (Station 58) were dispatched to an apartment fire at Pait’s Apartments at 600 Mercer Mill Road on Tuesday, February 16th.

The Bladen County Fire Marshal arrived first and advised he had heavy smoke showing from the second floor.

Elizabethtown Engine 554 arrived and advanced a hoseline to the second floor to conduct a primary search.

The cause of the fire was attributed to unattended cooking. The fire was controlled in twenty-two minutes.
