THOMASVILLE - The Thomasville Fire Department responded to a report of an attic fire at 410 Spring Street.

Engine 23, Engine 24, Ladder 22, Ladder 21, Squad 21 and Battalion Chief 1 responded.

Engine 23 was first on the scene and reported a working attic fire. Engine 23 stretched a 1.75-inch handline to the inside while Ladder 21 assisted with ventilation.

Eventually it took two handlines working on the inside to bring the fire under control.

Engine 24 assisted Engine 23 on the attack , while Squad 21 was assigned to R.I.T. Ladder 22 assisted crews on the outside.
