ROCKINGHAM COUNTY - On Friday, January 22nd at 08:43 hours, the Bethany Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported propane truck rollover on Witty Road near Hunter’s Glen Drive just south of U.S. Highway 158.
On arrival, units found a propane truck on its side with a small leak from one of the valves.
The driver escaped without injuries.
Bethany units remained on scene and awaited the tow truck to upright the propane truck. The leak was contained to a small area.
Firefighters placed a 1.75-inch foam attack line in service for protection. Nearby units were told to remain in their residences as a precaution.
The propane truck was successfully uprighted and towed off.
Bethany responded with two engines and a rescue unit.
