STOKES COUNTY - On Saturday July 26th at approximately 01:00 hours a car ran into a bay of the South Stokes Volunteer Fire Department.
Three of the members of the department were in the office when the collision occurred.
One hour previous to this incident, South Stokes was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on the other side of the fire district.
While waiting on the Highway Patrol, a member at the station called dispatch to advise them that a car wrecked into the station.
Luckily, the driver was not injured nor were any members that were at the station.
The collision did damage the first out brush truck and a member’s POV.
