Shelby Mobile Home Fire With Rescues

SHELBY - The Number 3 VFD, Cleveland VFD and Shanghi VFDs responded to this mobile home fire at 2236 Nixon Drive on Sunday night, January 11th at 22:04 hours.

Three adults and four children were at home sleeping when the fire started. One of the adult males tried to get the children out of the home first. Three neighbors reported the fire to 911.

Neighbors entered the mobile home and pulled the two handicapped adults and one child to safety.

An overhead power line fell on one of the rescuers.

One adult and one child was flown to Baptist Hospital with second and third degree burns.
