Jeff is a Fayetteville native that moved to Raleigh in 1982. He is an Architect specializing in major event planning and operations. He is a partner in Raleigh-based WJ Events.

A life-long fire buff, he helped establish the first Photo Unit for the Raleigh Fire Department in 1991.

In 1995, Jeff founded Carolinas Fire Page to help bring together those interested in the Carolina’s fire service. FireNews.net was started in 2003 as a way to extend the sharing of fire service related information. He maintains the websites for various fire service associations and industries.
