DESCRIPTION: Sandy Bottom, Deep Run and Seven Springs were dispatched to a structure fire in the 300 block of Smith Grady Rd. Sandy Bottom Car 2 checked on the scene with a working fire from a two story, wood framed, pack house with two tractors also involved.Car 2 assumed command, command spotted Sandy Bottom E1 to allow for a water shuttle. Two 1-3/4" were deployed for exposure protection and an exterior fire attack due to structural stability. SBE2,SBT1,SST1,SST2 were used to shuttle water, SSE1 set up a water point about 3/4 of a mile from the fire. DRE1, DRR1 and SSU were used for lighting. The structure collasped about 10 minutes into the operation and live power lines on the ground made the extinguishment process lengthy. Power was finally secured by Progress Energy and the incident was placed under control.
