DESCRIPTION: At 9:47 A.M. on Tuesday June 23, 2009, the Kannapolis Fire Department responded to a call at 141 Briarcliff Drive. The caller stated that there was fire coming from the roof of a residence. Firefighters arrived on the scene at 9:51 A.M. to find a working fire.

Fire crews quickly made entry into the home to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters remained on the scene for some time putting out hot spots.

The homeowner was at the location at the time of the fire; however, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
