Cary Two Alarm Apartment Fire

CARY - Wednesday night around 2000
hours, first due companies from Cary Station 2 arrived at Quincy
Court to find heavy fire from the second floor of this middle unit
apartment. With multiple occupied apartments and a language barrier,
a second alarm was quickly called to help with searches and
evacuations.
The fire was held to the unit of origin and quickly controlled by
first alarm companies. First Alarm: E2, E3, R2, L3, T7, M1, BC1-IC.
Second Alarm: BC2, E4, L1 C3, C20, C21, WC1 and Swift Creek E1.

RALEIGH - Raleigh "C" Shifters responded to a
well involved duplex fire behind Crabtree Valley Mall on Wednesday.
A small dog was rescued by firefighters and successfully treated by
EMS. Various companies responded to watch the fire site into the
evening and overnight.

Three Departments Respond to House Fire

SURRY COUNTY - Fourway, Bannertown and
Franklin were dispatched Tuesday morning to a working residential
structure fire. First arriving units arrived to find heavy black
smoke showing from Division A. An aggressive interior attack was
performed limiting the amount of fire spread to the room of origin
and the attic space directly above.

RALEIGH - The City of Raleigh has released the results of a special
study in the wake of a wind fed fire in February that destroyed
thirty-two buildings in North Raleigh.
The extensive report looks at building codes, weather conditions,
landscaping and the fire department response.
