Raleigh Engine 12 Involved in Collision While
Responding to One

UNIT
RALEIGH -
On June 21, Raleigh Engine 12 was responding to a reported MVC at
Poole Road and New Hope Road. While en route, they were involved in
a collision at Poole and Interstate 440.
No firefighters were injured, but two civilians were transported.
Units responding: E12, L26, BC2, C5, C3, EMS100, 103, 7, 32 and
Eastern Wake Medic 72.

Rekindle at South Wake County Fire

FUQUAY-VARINA - The Fuquay-Varina Fire Department responded to a
rekindle of an earlier fire at Highway 42 and Johnny Baker Road. One
engine, three tankers and a chief officer responded.

LAKE GASTON - The Roanoke
Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire Friday
on Northfork Drive just off Stanley Road on Lake Gaston. The fire
appeared to have started near a path and spread to nearby woods.

CLYDE - On Sunday, June 24 the
Clyde Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle collision
with three entrapments. Units arriving on scene confirmed the
entrapments and requested additional assistance from the Junaluska
Fire Department.
Two teenagers were transported to Mission Hospital in Asheville. One
was transported by air, the other by ground ambulance. The third
teen was transported by ground to Haywood Regional Medical Center.
Units responding included Engine 11-2, Truck 11, Engine 18, Rescue
18 and Haywood County Medics 2, 3 and 14.
