Fully Involved House Fire

MOCKSVILLE - On Sunday, March 30th, at approximately 1415 hours,
Mocksville Fire was dispatched for a reported structure fire. Engine
2201 on scene and advised the fire had already vented through the
roof. Defensive operations were started and additional departments
called to assist.

RANDOLPH COUNTY - On Thursday, April 10th,
the East Side Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle
collision with reported entrapment. ESFD Engine 143 arrived on
scene and reported a three-vehicle incident with a Ford F-150
pickup overturned on top of a Mustang with a confirmed pin-in.
ESFD crews assisted Ash-Rand Rescue in extricating the patient.

Mountain Wildfire

STOKES COUNTY - Multiple units fought this
400+ acres fire on Sauratown Mountain. The mountain is the
location for several radio, 911 and television antennas. The
fire started on Wednesday, March 26th and was extinguished on
Sunday, March 30th.
Over forty fire departments and other agencies responded. Units
came from Stokes, Surry, Carrol (Virginia), Guilford, Forsyth,
Rockingham and Yadkin counties.

JOHNSTON COUNTY - Clayton Fire and the
Johnston County Foam Unit responded to an incident that required
nearly a dozen homes to be evacuated. Rains poured into an
abandoned gasoline storage tank, resulting in an overflow of a
fuel and water mix.

SALISBURY - Firefighters from Concord, East Lincoln, Monroe and
Charlotte provide coverage for Salisbury firefighters that were
preparing to honor their fallen colleagues. This was the first
working fire in Salisbury after two firefighters were killed on
March 7th.
